T.P. Atticus Bibb papers : indentures and letters, 1847- 1867.

Collection consists of three items. The first item is an 1847 land indenture. T.P. Atticus Bibb and John J. Crittenden Bibb sold land in Greenup County, Kentucky, to John L. and Joseph Gray. The land consisted of 97.59 acres which was 2/7 of the 1/3 inherited by Martha Tubb Bibb. The second item is a letter from Bibb to his sister. It is dated Russellville, April 18, 1860. The letter describes his failed law practice in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and the prices of room and board there. The last item is to Bibb from Thomas A. Hendrick of the General Land Office. It is dated Feb. 21, 1867. It discusses a records search, which Bibb had initiated, concerning land warrants issued between 1783 and 1809.
